Task

in a high-bay warehouse, the RIDI LINIA continuous lighting system needs to be used in the aisles and order-picking area in front of the shelves and controlled by integrated motion sensors. The necessary lights should only switch on once staff have entered the respective aisle. The system does not detect movement along the ends of the aisles. Once staff have left the respective sensors’ detection fields, the lighting remains at the highest illumination level for a short time before dropping to a lower level and finally switching off entirely shortly after.

You should always ensure that the lights are switched off completely at the end of the working day when the last member of staff leaves the building. Illumination levels and periods can be adjusted via a smartphone app.

APCON Lösung

all the RIDI LINIA continuous lighting system LED gear trays are configured in DALI. The lighting systems are divided up into areas. In the commissioning area, all 6 continuous rows are  electrically interconnected, resulting in a separate DALI broadcast circuit. The two APCON EASY master and slave sensors VLMF-SEN 500-11 PD4-M-DA-GH / PD4-S-R7 switch the LED gear trays in this area together via a broadcast signal (broadcast = all gear trays are contacted together and react in the same way) depending on movement. Each shelf aisle is also considered as a separate DALI broadcast circuit and they are not electrically connected to each other.

The APCON EASY master and slave sensors VLMF-SEN 500-11 PD4-M-DA-GH / PD4-S-R7 that are integrated into the continuous lighting system of the respective aisle switch the LED gear trays in each system together via a broadcast signal depending on movement. In the various areas of the high-bay warehouse, the lighting still remains at the highest illumination level for a pre-determined (and adjustable) period after the person has left the sensors’ detection fields, before dropping to an adjustable reduced value and finally switching off fully automatically after a further (adjustable) period of time. Using a Bluetooth / infrared adapter and the associated smartphone app, the light values and follow-up times of the master sensors can be conveniently set from the ground.
